Philipp Kristian
His work as a human futurist concentrates on how our behaviour, generational dynamics and trust patterns are shaping the future in our midst. Its inspiring storytelling is rooted in a decade-long immersion in the art and science of mastering complex change – and a background in academic research helping him connect complex dots for us in simple terms, albeit with rigour and depth.
Trust is foundational to this. It isn't everything, but without it, everything is verily nothing. He is known for his seminal work on changing the global narrative on trust in a digital age - defining its role as: a gatekeeper to economic value creation; a behavioural force of persuasion shaping how we spend our money, data and time in the digital economy and a change oracle that decides the fate of digital transformation and innovation ambitions. This is true on a human level, too. Key to transforming our lives is trusting that we will discover our brightest futures and best selves right here within us. In us is where waves of change begin and end their motion. This is why the core principle of his work is humanising our transformation.

Past speaking engagemens
Prior to this full-time endeavour, he held several large-scale Fortune 500 innovation strategy mandates and drove an 8-figure transformation consulting engagement for a financial institution – all across JAPAC, concentrating on new digital value propositions and human-centred design thinking.
Further, he shaped proposition, branding and strategic direction advising founder-CEOs of Singlife and Circles, two of Singapore’s most extraordinary scale-up success stories, and Change Invest, an Estonian startup Wall-of-Fame awardee.
Philipp Kristian is an alumnus of Kinnernet, WEF Global Shapers, TEDx, St. Gallen Symposium, KAIROS Fellowship, d-school at Hasso-Plattner-Institute and the Honours Bachelor Programme at University of Groningen.
His work designing and delivering trailblazing executive education programmes also includes faculty assignments at INSEAD, CEDEP, Civil Service College and Singapore Management University. Beyond work, he finds balance in yoga, nature and daily meditation practice. The latter inspired a deep immersion in the spiritual and
scriptural traditions of the world.

For me, the real power of a nexxworks tour is the unique group of people you meet and travel with.

The tour founded relationships with interesting people I otherwise would've never met.

The mix of speakers and content was perfect.

It was truly an eye-opening experience that both enriched my network with amazing people and helped me shape the further direction of my career.

The things you hear, see and learn are a source of inspiration and motivation for the future. We have already implemented some of these in our current strategy and operations.

Nexxworks helps to facilitate innovative out of the box thinking. They will expose you and your teams to a different level of thought leadership, which in turn will help you and your people develop a different thinking ethos for the future.

The nexxworks inspiration series helps us to imagine the future together with all the teams worldwide, and make the bridge to our day-to-day challenges as well.

The nexxworks inspiration sessions were that mindblowing, that I invited my global team to taste, smell and learn via a similar experience.

Meeting today’s companies and speakers brought us refreshing energy and perspectives to our challenges today.

This experience showed how short-term planning and long term planning are both needed. The China visits were truly inspiring in how they execute on that.

It’s so important to step outside the day-to-day business. We are the only ones who can moderate this back to our teams and translate what we’ve learned to accomplish our daily goals.

To new travelers, I hope you feel some of the same excitement, anxiety, and concentration. May you learn the way we did.

We’ve seen great concepts and initiatives from other companies, that made us think outside the box.

We want to make sure that the wonderful company that our family started, remains relevant in a fast-pace changing world.

I view the nexxworks membership as a combination of inspiration, practical insights, and networking with peers.
